At Teton Outdoor Adventures we teach groundwork and riding to children and adults using a variety of natural horsemanship methods specializing in both western and english traditions. Our goal at TOA is for participants to have a safe experience that promotes knowledge and confidence in a fun environment. We aim to help you improve your horsemanship skills, expand your emotional intelligence and become aware of your non verbal communication skills through using methods of timing, sequencing and consistency. We ask that participants bring heeled boots, long pants and a helmet if you are under 18 to classes. TOA does have some spares on hand of these items.

Self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, social skills.
Horses have amazing emotional intelligence. They read all of the signals, and the thing they rely on the least is the verbal communication. Horses can learn to understand what you’re saying; but what they’re really paying attention to is what you’re not saying. They help you become aware of your emotional communication (or lack of) and they provide an opportunity for you to improve your skills.
