Connecting with horses
A magnetometer can measure the heart’s energy field radiating up to 8 to 10 feet around the human body. This is five times larger in the horses body reaching up to 50 feet. The horse’s electromagnetic field is also stronger than ours and can actually directly influence our own heart rhythm according to heart math institute research.
Horses have evolved with mastering feeling, where humans are advanced thinkers. Horses help humans to feel by teaching them to communicate with them. When riding horses, humans can think “how does it feel to turn that direction” or “how does it feel to stop over by that tree” and horses will often act upon the feeling alone. Learning the language of feeling is how to effectively connect with horses!
Mark Rashid’s book Nature in Horsemanship, references culture in the USA changing from one of ranching, farming, smaller towns, community, animal rich to one of fast paced, urban sprawl and techno centric. This is mimicked in the last 70 years of magazine titles; Life > People > Us > Me……It is important emotionally and spiritually for humans to reconnect to their ties with nature that they developed up unto the past few generations, and horses can be their most effective teachers!
